     Leighton Marissa is my real full name.I was born last April 9,1986.Yeah..it means I am already 24 years old.I was born in Fort Worth,Texas.My mother was sent to jail because in her revolvement of drug ring.So,that means I was born in jail.I grew up in Marco Island, Florida, where I participated in productions at a local playhouse.But when I was 11 years old, me and my mother moved to New York.I attended the Professional Children's School and also began working as a model with Wilhemina, booking a Ralph Lauren campaign shot by Bruce Weber and working with then photographer (now film maker) Sofia Coppola.I made my television acting debut as a murder victim's friend on an episode of Law & Order.I am an American actress, singer-songwriter, and a fashion model.I am best known as Blair Waldorf,my character in Gossip Girl.At 14, I moved to Los Angeles, California, wanting more stable work and attended Hollywood High School and Beverly Hills High School.I then transferred to a small private school and graduated a year early.My surname Meester, means "master" or "teacher" in Dutch.I maintained that my parents gave me a normal upbringing life.I love them.They're my inspirations.
