My name is Jenna Costa Deedy and I am 16 years old from Nashua, New Hampshire. I was an honor student at Pennichuck Middle School in Nashua NH, and this I am currently attending 10th grade at Nashua High North where I will be graduating in 2010. I have both Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis in which I had them both for a few years now and I have on and off been in remission several times.

For the Past two years now, I have done camp programs for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. More recently with SeaWorld Orlando with the Advanced career camp. During my past few years at SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, I have worked and interacted with dolphins, beluga whales, sea lions, birds, penguins, and seals.

When I was five years old, Sea World invited me and my family down to go behind the scenes with the false killer whales and the dolphins where my goal of wanting to be an animal trainer at Sea World in the future began. But, I want to be a killer whale trainer at sea world because I would love to spend the day swimming with a killer whale, interacting with them and even perfoming in a show with them.

In May 2006, I was invited down to the New England Aqaurium by my pen pal Stacy Hoth, a marine mammal trainer there to go behind the scenes and do training sessions with the harbor seals and the northern fur seals where I had a nice time working and learning about these fun-loving animals and how they care for them everyday and following that July, I did a 2-hour dolphin swim at Miami Seaquarium where I had a nice hands-on exprience with Ripley, a 19-year-old bottlenose dolphin at the seaquarium.

My other interaction programs I have been part of were at Dolphins Plus with the dolphin and sea lion swims, Theater of the Sea's trainer for a day program, and The Mystic Aquarium's beluga contact programs.

I have been known to write to animal trainers from many zoological facilities in North America asking them about what it is like being an animal trainer and what I can do to get to that ranking when it comes to animal training. Often times, I have been intived down by these facilities for hands-on animal training sessions.
